This will be the 3rd match of the Tournament for both sides and will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago.
Afghanistan have won both their matches by big margins so far in the Tournament and sit in 2nd place on 4 points in Group C. Their opening game was a hammering of Uganda when Afghanistan won by 125 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqi was player of the match and his bowling figures were 5 wickets for 9 runs off his 4 overs.
Their 2nd match was also a big win over New Zealand where they batted first and scored 159 for 6 in their 20 overs. New Zealand could only reply by reaching 75 runs in 15.2 overs giving Afghanistan a victory by 84 runs. Player of the Match was Rahmanullah Gurbaz with 80 runs off 56 balls which included 5 fours and 5 sixes.
Papua New Guinea have lost both their previous matches, their first was against the West Indies where they batted first posting 136 for 8 in 20 overs, but the Windies scored the winning runs of 137 for 5 in 19 overs.
Their 2nd match against Uganda was a low scoring affair and once again they batted first but only managed 77 runs in 19.1 overs. Uganda then went on to get the winning runs in 18.2 overs and won the match by 3 wickets.

This game will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

Their 2nd match was against Canada where Canada batted first and posted 137 runs for 7 in their 20 overs, but Ireland could only manage to score 125 for 7 in their 20 overs so losing the game.
