We take a look at the three T20 World Cup matches taking place on Friday evening and the early hours of Saturday morning, South African time.
India have shortened slightly in the betting from 5/2 to 9/4 after their comprehensive victory over Ireland, but there is very little change in the Outright Markets with the big guns yet to meet each other.

FRIDAY
CANADA v IRELAND
This game takes place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in East Meadow, New York and both teams will be looking to bounce back from defeats in their opening matches.
Canada batted first against the United States and put up a respectable 194 for 5, but the United states chased it down with over 2 overs in hand and just 3 wickets down.
Ireland were up against India first up and they were bowled out for 96 in 16 overs and India comfortably chased the target down with 8 wickets in hand and 7.4 overs to spare.

Canada 29/10
Ireland 1/4
Bookies have priced this up as a one-sided betting heat, but I am not so certain that is the case. I was impressed with Canada against the USA and I think they can push this Irish team all the way.
Suggested Bet: Canada win at 29/10.

SATURDAY
NEW ZEALAND v AFGHANISTAN
This match will be played at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana and New Zealand will be playing their first game of the Tournament.
Afghanistan have already been in action and they had a comfortable win over Uganda, scoring 183 for 5 in their 20 overs and then bowling Uganda out for 58 to win by 125 runs
These sides have only met once in a T20 International and that was back in 2021 when New Zealand won by 8 wickets in the UAE.

New Zealand 9/20
Afghanistan 7/4
I won’t be up to watch this one so will go for a play in one of my favourite markets, the Player of the Match, where I fancy Trent Boult at 25/2. He should be tough to handle at the top of the innings and he is always dangerous and opposition players have to go at him in the backend.
Suggested Bet: Player of the Match, Trent Boult at 25/2
SRI LANKA v BANGLADESH
This will be played at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas and Sri Lanka will be under pressure to get the win, having lost their opening match to South Africa. They batted first and were bundled out for 77 and although their bowlers put up a good fight, South Africa got home with just under 4 overs to spare and 6 wickets in hand.
Bangladesh play their first game of the Tournament.
These sides last met in T20 Internationals in March of 2024 in Bangladesh where it was the visitors, Sri Lanka who won the series 2-1.

Sri Lanka 13/25
Bangladesh 15/10
After his performance here in South Africa I fancy Wanindu Hasaranga, Top Bowler for Sri Lanka, but the 17/10 is just too short for me and the more I think about this game, the more I feel Bangladesh are the value to grab the win.
Suggested Bet: Bangladesh win at 15/10
