The DSTV Premiership continues this weekend and we take a look at 4 of the matches from a betting angle.
SATURDAY
Chippa United v Kaizer Chiefs – Click here to bet
Chippa United are currently 11th on the table and they are coming off a 2-0 home win over Cape Town Spurs, a game where they started 19/20 favourites.
Kaizer Chiefs are currently 8th on the log and they were beaten 1-0 at home by Stellenbosch last time out, a game where we were on the visitors at 26/10. Chiefs have only taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for in the League.
Head-to-Head
These sides played out a goalless draw earlier in the season and last season, Chiefs won this fixture 1-0.
Kaizer Chiefs have an excellent record when playing away at Chippa United and they have won 4 in a row and I am backing them to make it 5.
Suggested Bet: Chiefs win at 27/20
Orlando Pirates v Golden Arrows – Click here to bet
Orlando Pirates are currently 4th on the log, but are without a win in their last two starts having drawn away to Swallows and lost to Sekhukhune on the road. They have won 3 of their last 5 home games and have only lost twice in 10 home matches this season.
Golden Arrows are currently 9th on the log and they have taken 7 points from the last 9 they have played for including a 2-2 draw at home to SuperSport United last time out. In 11 away matches they have won 6 and lost 5.
Head-to-Head
Pirates beat Arrows 2-1 on the road in the reverse fixture and last season they won this fixture 2-1.
Pirates are 4/6 favourites for the win and while I think they should get the 3 points, I am going to have a rare stab at over 2.5 goals, a result which would have arrived in the last two meetings between the sides and in Arrows last 2 matches.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 11/10

Stellenbosch v Sekhukhune United – Click here to bet
Stellenbosch are currently 2nd on the log and they are coming off a 1-0 away win over Kaizer Chiefs. They are undefeated in their last 13 games with 9 victories and 4 draws.
Sekhukhune are 3rd on the log and like Stellenbosch are surprise packages. They drew 2-2 to Cape Town City in their last start and they are undefeated in their last 7 and prior to the draw against Cape Town City had won 5 in a row.
Stellenbosch are the 21/20 favourites, but it is hard to pick a winner and the 28/10 Sekhukhune United is certainly not out of the question. In the end though I am going to suggest that these two in-form sides will play to a draw.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 85/40
SUNDAY
Cape Town City v AmaZulu – Click here to bet
Cape Town City are currently 6th on the log, but on a poor run of form that has seen them draw 4 and lose 2 of their last 6 matches. They drew 2-2 away at Sekhukhune United last time out and they haven’t won in their last 4 home starts.
AmaZulu are 12th on the log and are also in poor form without a victory in their last 6 starts. They played out a goalless draw at home to Polokwane last time out and they have only taken 1 point from the last 12 they have played for on the road.
Head-to-Head
AmaZulu won the reverse fixture 3-2 and somewhat surprisingly over 2.5 goals has arrived in the last 4 matches between the sides across all competitions.
Cape Town City have been a disappointment to me this season and even given AmaZulu’s poor away record I can’t justify taking the 21/20 on offer. I am going to look at over 2.5 goals again as these sides seem to bring out the scoring touch in each of the other.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 13/8
