In their recent match against Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opted to bat first after winning the toss. Despite a decent start, losing wickets at regular intervals slowed their momentum. Abhishek Sharma’s aggressive innings and Abdul Samad’s late cameo pushed SRH to a total of 162/8 in 20 overs.
However, defending the total proved challenging for SRH as Gujarat Titans’ batsmen comfortably chased down the target with 5 balls to spare. Though SRH’s bowlers managed some breakthroughs, they couldn’t maintain consistent pressure. Shahbaz Ahmed and Pat Cummins picked up wickets, but overall, SRH’s bowling lacked the edge needed for a successful defense. This loss highlights areas for improvement, particularly in bowling strategy
In their clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Visakhapatnam the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced a challenging task as their bowlers strived to contain DC’s aggressive batting lineup. Despite some initial breakthroughs, CSK’s bowlers found it difficult to restrict DC’s scoring, with Khaleel Ahmed, Ishant Sharma, and Anrich Nortje struggling to stem the flow of runs. DC’s batsmen, including Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, and Rishabh Pant, managed to capitalize on some loose deliveries, propelling DC to a formidable total of 191/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
CSK’s innings got off to a shaky start as they lost crucial wickets early on to DC’s disciplined bowling attack. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra were dismissed cheaply, putting early pressure on the batting lineup. Despite valiant efforts from Ajinkya Rahane and Daryl Mitchell, CSK struggled to establish significant partnerships. Although Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni provided some late fireworks, their efforts ultimately fell short as CSK finished their innings at 171/6, falling 20 runs short of DC’s total.
Head-To-Head
These sides have played 20 times with CSK holding a 15-5 advantage.
Last time they met CSK won a low scoring match by 7 wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad 21/20
Chennai Super Kings 15/20
Suggested Bet: Sunrisers win at 21/20
The Sunrisers play their 2nd match at this ground and against the Mumbai Indians they scored a record 277/3 in winning a high scoring match. With potential insurance from the “Most 6’s” promo above backing them at anything above 1/1 looks a solid play.
Suggested Bet: Total Sixes over 17.5 at 17/20
There were 38 in the Mumbai game and SRH got 18 of their own.
