Saturday sees the URC return as two South African derbies take place. The Lions host the Sharks while the Stormers travel to Pretoria to take on the Bulls. Saturday also sees the Glasgow Warriors travel to Benetton while Connacht take on the Scarlets.
Irish side Leinster is still the favourite to win the URC at 1.53, despite never having won the championship. Defending champions Munster, along with the Blue Bulls, are second favourites, trading at 8.00. Last year’s runners-up, the Stormers, are close behind at 10.00.

Lions v Sharks – Click here to bet
The Lions are sitting 11th in an extremely tight table, and a bonus point win could jump them up to 7th spot. They have played 4 URC games this year, only winning 1 which was against the Sharks.
The Sharks are still sitting stone last on the table, having won only 1 of their 10 matches in the URC this season. They did manage to win a few matches in the EPCR earlier this year but ultimately will want to start winning in the URC again.
The last time the two clubs faced was at the start of the year where they played down in Durban. The Sharks had a chance to steal the game right at the end with a penalty kick, but ultimately lost out. Due to their current form in the URC, the Sharks are going to have to put in a massive performance if they want to beat the already strong Lions side.
The bookies have the Lions as favourites to win at 1.65 while the Sharks are trading at 2.50. The handicap at the time of writing is Lions -2.5.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Lions -2.5 at 1.85

Bulls v Stormers – Click here to bet
The Bulls are the top South African side on the table, having won 7 of their 10 matches. They sit 3rd behind the Scottish side, Glasgow Warriors. The Bulls have won 4 out of their last 5 matches in the URC, with the 1 loss coming against the Stormers away from home. They also went on to win big fixtures in the Champions Cup, showing how strong their squad is.
The Stormers are sitting 6th on the table, 9 points behind top spot. They have won 4 of their last 5 matches in the URC, with the only loss coming against Cardiff away from home.
The last time the two sides met in the URC, the Stormers came out on top down in Cape Town, the match ended 26-20. The Bulls have not beaten the Stormers since August 2021 and will need to be on top form if they want to beat them come Saturday.
The Bulls are favourites to win at 1.40 while the Stormers are trading at 3.30. The handicap at the time of writing is Bulls -6.5. Although it’s been a while since the Bulls have beaten the Stormers, their recent form and home ground advantage should get them over the line.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Bulls at -6.5 at 19/20
Benetton v Glasgow – Click here to bet
Benetton has had a brilliant start to the season, winning 7 out of 10 games. They currently sit 4th on the table and will have no intention of dropping down. They have won 4 out of their last 5 matches in the URC, with one heavy defeat coming against Leinster.
Glasgow is sitting 2nd on the table due to the fact that they have secured the most bonus points in the competition so far. They have won 4 of their last 5 matches in the URC, but will be without a number of top players due to the ongoing 6 Nations.
The last time the two clubs met, Glasgow finished on top, winning the match 26-12.
The bookies have Glasgow as favourites to win at 1.83 while Benetton is trading at 2.20. Both teams have won 7 out of 10 matches in the URC this year and will go into the match firing, but because of the home ground advantage, Benetton may end up on top.
Suggested bet: Benetton to win at 2.20
Connacht v Scarlets – Click here to bet
Connacht is sitting 10th on the table, however, they are only 4 points behind 4th spot. They have won 3 of their last 5 matches in the URC.
The Scarlets are sitting 3rd last on the table, having only won 2 of their 10 matches in the competition this year. They have lost their last 5 matches in all competitions and will really need to work hard to change that around.
The last time the two clubs met, Connacht won 36-14 at home.
The bookies have Connacht as heavy favourites to win at 1.06 while the Scarlets are trading at 12.00. The handicap at the time of writing is Connacht -18.5.
Suggested bet: Handicap, Connacht -18.5 at 1.95.
