The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 continues on Tuesday night as Atlético Madrid travel to Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven host Dortmund in 1st leg matches.
Manchester City are favourites to win the competition at 18/10. Real Madrid are second favourites at 9/2, while Arsenal FC are trading at 11/2.

Inter finished 2nd in group D, tied on 12 points with Real Sociedad but fell behind on goal difference. Of their 6 group matches, they won 3 and drew 3, scoring 8 goals while conceding 5. Inter has been on an impressive run of form over the last 2 months, winning 8 matches in a row in all competitions. They have managed to score 4 goals in both of their last matches.
Atlético finished top of Group E on 14 points, winning 4 matches and drawing 2, scoring 17 goals while only conceding 6, earning them the second-highest goal difference in the group stages. February has not been the best month as they have only won 2 of their 5 matches so far in all competitions, with losses coming against Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao.
The two clubs have not faced each other since 2018. Both teams will be hungry for a win to get the advantage going into the second leg of the round of 16. Inter are favourites to win at 8/10, while Atlético Madrid are trading at 15/4.
It will be impressive if Atlético can travel to Milan and come away with a win, but it’s unlikely due to Inter Milan’s impressive recent form and I am backing a home in.

PSV finished 2nd in group E, scraping through as they finished only 1 point ahead of Lens. Of their 6 group stage matches, they won 2, drew 3, and lost 1, scoring 8 goals while conceding 10. PSV currently sits top of the Eredivisie (Dutch football league), 10 points clear of Feyenoord. They are yet to lose a match in the league and will look to use this momentum going into Tuesday night’s fixture at home.
Dortmund had an impressive group stage, finishing on top of an extremely competitive group with PSG, Milan, and Newcastle. Of their 6 group stage matches they won 3, drew 2 and only lost 1, scoring 7 goals while conceding 4. Dortmund has found a run of form, winning 4 and drawing 2 of their last 6 matches in all competitions.
Dortmund will be looking to grab a win on Tuesday night and take that advantage into the second leg of the round of 16; however, PSV will put up a massive fight with their home crowd supporting them.
The bookies have PSV as favourites to win at 12/10, while Dortmund are trading at 85/40 and the draw at 27/10.
In what is expected to be a thrilling match (over 2.5 goals is trading at 5/8) I am backing PSV to build on their impressive home record in the Champions League.
