Chippa United v Cape Town City – Click here to bet
Chippa United are currently 13th on the log and they limped into 2024 with 3 losses in their last 4 games. Their last action was away to TS Galaxy where they lost 2-0. Their last home game was a 2-1 defeat to Polokwane, which was their 3rd defeat in 9 home games this season.
Cape Town City are sitting 2nd on the table with 3 wins, a draw and a loss in their last 5 starts. They beat Cape Town Spurs 2-0 away from home in their final match. Cape Town City have the second best record in the League with 16 points from a possible 30.
Cape Town City won the reverse fixture 2-1 at home earlier this season and they have now gone 8 matches without losing to Chippa United in the League. The draw has arrived the last 3 times Chippa United have hosted Cape Town City, but I was impressed with what I saw of the visitors before the break and I am going to back them to kick off with 3 points here.
Suggested Bet: Cape Town City win at 29/20

Cape Town Spurs v AmaZulu – Click here to bet
Cape Town Spurs are bottom of the table with just 4 points from their 16 matches. They have only won 1 of their last 10 games and they have only taken 1 point in their last 7. Prior to the break they lost 2-0 at home to Cape Town City, but did pick up a point at AmaZulu in their penultimate start.
AmaZulu are 8th on the table and took 7 points from the last 9 they had played for before the break. They beat Royal AM 3-0 at home in their last start and they have only played 6 away matches this season, winning only 1 of them.
Although the reverse fixture finished level, Cape Town Spurs just don’t seem to have the quality for this League and I am backing AmaZulu to pick up a valuable 3 away points.
Suggested Bet: AmaZulu win at 10/11
Mamelodi Sundowns v Orlando Pirates – Click here to bet
This is without doubt the clash of the weekend and pits 1st placed Sundowns against 5th placed Pirates. There are 13 points between the sides on the table with Sundowns having played 2 games less.
Sundowns have yet to taste defeat in 14 matches this season. They only drew 2 of their last 3 matches, their most recent one being a goalless draw at home to Polokwane. They have only played 6 home games, scoring 15 goals and conceding just 2.
Pirates were looking very good towards the end of last year, but then lost back-to-back games away to SuperSport United and at home to Stellenbosch. Overall on the road this season they have played 8 games winning 2, drawing 3 and losing 3 and in this time they have only scored 6 goals while conceding 8. Over 2.5 goal backers would have collected profits in Pirates last 3 matches before the break.
Sundowns won the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier in the season and they also did the double over Pirates last season and they have now won 7 League matches in a row against Pirates. Given that last stat it is hard to argue that the 8/10 for Sundowns looks great value.
Suggested Bet: Sundowns win at 8/10
