Super Bowl LV111 takes place at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada and with 200 million viewers expected in the USA alone we take a look at the spectacle from a betting angle.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year and are looking to be the first team to go back-to-back since the New England Patriots achieved this twenty years ago.
Their quarterback, Patrick Mahomes started the season slowly, but has been improving with every game and performed very well in the playoffs.
They came through the regular season with an 11-6 record in the AFC West Division and they then beat the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bulls and Baltimore Ravens to book their spot at the Super Bowl.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers went 12-5 in the NFC West Division before seeing off the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions to book their spot in the Super Bowl for the first time since 2019.
Quarterback, Brock Purdy will, at 24 years of age, be looking to become the second youngest quarterback to win the Super Bowl.

Kansas City Chiefs 11/10
Draw 14/1
San Francisco 49ers 17/20
You can also bet on a winner including overtime which takes the draw out of the equation and here the Chiefs are 1/1 with the 49ers 15/20.
As in Rugby betting we also have a handicap on offer with Chiefs +2.5 points and the 49ers -2.5. The Total Points Line is 47.5 priced at 17/20 the pair and you can also get first-half betting, half-time / full-time where the 49ers are 15/10 to lead at half-time and win the match as well as individual team totals and that is just scraping the surface of the markets on offer.
VERDICT
This match could be every bit as close as the betting suggests and I find myself leaning towards the Chiefs capturing their 3rd Super Bowl of the last 5 years. That being said, the 49ers have been the more impressive team throughout the season, but the Chiefs have built their campaign around a solid defence and I think that is going to dominate in this Super Bowl.
Last year we had a high scoring Super Bowl with the Chiefs beating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35, but under 47.5 would have prevailed in 3 of the last 5 Super Bowls.
Suggested Bet: Under 47.5 points at 17/20
