The DP World Tour travels to Qatar for the last tournament of the Arabian Peninsula stretch, the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters with the Doha Golf Club hosting the tournament for the 25th time.
The Course
Doha Golf Club is located just North of Doha city centre. As with most courses played over the last few weeks, the course is covered with sandy wasteland. The course plays just under 7,500 yards, which is longer than the average length of courses on tour and it is known to favour longer hitters in calm conditions but will challenge all players if the winds pick up. Conditions are expected to be calm over the weekend with the greens runnning fast and requiring creativity and a soft touch.
Market Leaders
For the second week in a row, youngster Rasmus Hojgaard is favourite to win at 10/1. Yannik Paul is the second favourite, trading at 18/1, while South African golfer Zander Lombard joins him at 18/1. The bookies then have Tom Mckibbin at 22/1 to win outright.

The youngster has had an impressive start to his season, finishing 11th or better in all 4 starts. His best result was a 2nd place finish at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship. Rasmus finished 16th at last year’s Qatar Masters and will look to improve on that this week. Last week he finished 8th at the Bahrain championship only 6 shots off the lead.

Jorge Campillo at 50/1
Last year’s runner-up is no stranger to the Qatar Masters, he also managed to finish 2nd during the 2019 tournament. Jorge has not had the greatest start to the season with 32nd being his highest finish so far and 1 missed cut coming at last week’s Bahrain Champions. However, he will look to use his experience of the course to gain an advantage on the field and get a good result to fire up the start of his season. Although an outside shout to win, Campillo will have a good chance of finishing high up on the leaderboard.

Pablo Larrazabal at 40/1
The Spaniard is a veteran on the tour, getting his European Tour card back in 2008. In this time, he has won 9 events on tour, showing he knows how to finish the job. Pablo has had an up-and-down start to his season with a 4th place finish at the Dubai Desert Classic as well as a missed cut the following week in the UAE. However, the veteran has had some impressive finishes in recent years in Doha. In his last 4 starts, he has secured 2 top 5 finishes (4th in 2018 and 5th in 2022). He can use this course knowledge to his advantage to put his name up on the leaderboard.
