Deportivo Alaves v Barcelona – Click here to bet
Alaves are currently 11th on the table and on a good run which has seen them win their last 3 games and go undefeated in their last 4. They beat Almeria 3-0 on the road last time out and their last home game was a 1-0 victory over Cadiz. Overall at home this season they have won 5, drawn 1 and lost 4.
Barcelona are 4th on the log, 8 points behind surprise leaders Girona. They have won 4 out of their last 5 matches, beating Osasuna 1-0 last time out, but prior to that they were stunned 5-3 at home against Villarreal, a game where they started as 4/10 favourites. Barcelona have yet to taste defeat on the road this season with 5 wins and 5 draws in their 10 starts.
Barcelona edged Alaves 2-1 at home in the reverse fixture.
Alaves are 33/10 with the draw on offer at 11/4, but looking at Barcelona’s away record I fancy them for the 3 points here.

Girona v Real Sociedad – Click here to bet
Girona are top of the table with just 1 loss in their 22 starts. They are 1 point ahead of Real Madrid who have played a game less. They have won 7 and drawn 3 of their last 10 matches and last time out they beat Celta de Vigo 1-0 on the road. Their last home game was a 5-1 thumping of Sevilla and overall at home this season they have taken 28 points from a possible 33 and they have won their last 4 home games in succession.
Real Sociedad are 6th on the log and they have only won 1 of their last 6 games. They played to a goalless draw at home to Rayo Vallecano last time out and prior to that beat Celta de Vigo 1-0 on the road. They have one of the better away records in the League with just 3 losses in their 11 matches.
Under 2.5 goal backers would have collected profits in 5 of the last 6 Real Sociedad matches.
These sides played to a 1-1 draw earlier in the season and last season this fixture finished 5-3 to Sociedad with the reverse fixture 2-2, with a total of 12 goals across the 2 games.
Everybody is waiting for Girona to stumble, but given how well they have played at home this season I am happy to take anything above even money that they win this game.

Real Madrid are 2nd on the table, 1 point behind Girona, but with a game in hand. They have only lost 1 of their first 21 matches and they are on a 5 match winning streak, most recently beating Las Palmas 2-1 on the road. They have yet to taste defeat at home this season with 9 victories and 1 draw in 10 matches during which time they have scored 25 goals and only conceded 6.
Atlético Madrid are 7 points and 1 position behind Real Madrid, but having played a game more. They have recovered from a shaky run to win their last 3 matches, most recently 2-1 at home to Rayo Vallecano and their last away game was a win over Granada and that broke a run of 4 successive away losses.
Atlético Madrid won this fixture 3-1 earlier in the season, but last season when Real Madrid hosted it finished 1-1.
Real Madrid are 15/20 with the draw 3/1 and Atlético Madrid 7/2. Both teams to score, yes, would have arrived in the last 3 meetings between the sides, that is quite short at 4/6. At the end of the day I am going to put my head down and back Real Madrid for the 3 points.
