MONDAY
Cape Verde v Mauritania – Click here to bet
Cape Verde topped Group B with 7 points from their 9 matches. They opened up with a 2-1 win over Ghana, scoring the winner in injury time and followed that up with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Mozambique. Their final match against Egypt finished 2-2 with a 99th minute equaliser for Cape Verde.
Mauritania finished 3rd in Group D behind Angola and Burkina Faso. They opened their campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Burkina Faso, going down to an injury time penalty and they then lost 3-2 to Angola. Mauritania were 8/1 underdogs to beat Algeria in their final group match, but they did so, 1-0 and booked their spot in the last 16.
These sides last met in AFCON 2020 when Mauritania won 2-1.
Cape Verde have been very impressive in this Tournament and I am happy to take anything above even money that they win the match.

Senegal v Ivory Coast – Click here to bet
These are two of the favoured sides in the betting with Senegal on offer at 15/4 and Ivory Coast at 17/2 to win the Tournament.
Senegal topped Group C with a 100% record in their 3 matches. They overpowered Gambia first up 3-0 and then beat Cameroon 3-1 before finishing their campaign with a workmanlike 2-0 victory over Guinea.
Host, Ivory Coast squeezed into the Round of 16 by their 3rd place finish in Group A where they were behind Nigeria and group winners, Equatorial Guinea. They opened their campaign with a regulation 2-0 win over Guinea Bissau, but then lost 1-0 to Nigeria and were rocked when they were beaten 4-0 by Equatorial Guinea.
These sides last met in AFCON 2022 with Senegal winning 1-0.
Senegal are the favourites for this game and rightly so and once again I think anything above even money is a decent bet for them to win inside the 90 minutes.

TUESDAY
Mali v Burkina Faso – Click here to bet
Mali topped Group E with 5 points out of a possible 9. They opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over South Africa with both goals coming in the second-half. They were then held to a 1-1 draw by Tunisia and a goalless draw by Namibia.
Burkina Faso finished 2nd to Angola in Group D with 4 points out of their 3 matches. They opened their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Mauritania, a game where they started even money favourites. They then drew 2-2 with Algeria and lost 2-0 to Angola in their final match.
These sides met in the African Cup of Nations in 2020 with Mali winning 1-0.
I am expecting this to be a very tight match and I am going to bet that the teams are level when the final whistle is blown.

Morocco v South Africa – Click here to bet
Morocco topped Group F with 7 points from their 3 games. They beat Tanzania 3-0 in their opener before drawing 1-1 with DR Congo and then they edged Zambia 1-0.
South Africa qualified 2nd in Group E on 4 points. They were disappointed to lose their opening game 2-0 against Mali, but bounced back with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Namibia before a goalless draw against Tunisia was enough to see them through to the Round of 16.
These sides met in African Cup of Nations qualifying with South Africa winning 2-1 at home and Morocco 2-1 in the reverse fixture.
Morocco are the 5/8 favourites with South Africa on offer at 11/2. I think this will be a close game, but Morocco should edge it.
