We take a look at the 6 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and suggest a bet for each game.
Manchester City remain favourites to defend their title at 21/20 and you can click here for the latest Outright Betting
Luton Town v Chelsea – Click here to bet
Luton are currently 18th on the log and they have won their last 2 matches, away at Sheffield United and at home to Newcastle. At home this season they have taken 8 points from a possible 27.
Chelsea are 10th on the log after a much needed 3 points at home to Crystal Palace last time out where they won the game 2-1. Their last away game was a 2-1 defeat to Wolves and they have lost their last 4 games away on their travels.
Chelsea won the reverse fixture 3-0 earlier this season, but I think that Luton are playing well and can spring a surprise.
Suggested Bet: Luton win at 9/2
Aston Villa v Burnley – Click here to bet
Aston Villa are 3rd on the log, but suffered a disappointing away defeat to Manchester United last time out. It was a game where they started underdogs, but they led 2-0 at half-time, only to lose the match 3-2. They have an excellent away record with 8 wins and a draw in their 9 matches.
Burnley are 2nd from bottom of the table after going down 2-0 at home to Liverpool last time out. They have only taken 8 points in 9 matches on the road this season, but 4 of those points have come in their last 2 games. Their most recent away trip was a 2-0 win over Fulham.
Aston Villa won the reverse fixture 3-1 and I am expecting them to beat Burnley by more than a goal.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Aston Villa -1.5 goals at 1/1
Crystal Palace v Brentford – Click here to bet
Crystal Palace are 15th on the log and without a win in their last 8 matches. They lost 2/1 away to Chelsea last time out and at home this season they have only won once in 9 matches.
Brentford are in freefall at the moment and are 14th on the log having lost their last 4 matches in succession and 6 of their last 7. They went down 4-1 at home to Wolves in their last start and have lost their last 3 matches on the road.
Both these teams are struggling and I look at the head-to-head to show they have drawn all 5 matches they have played in the League.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 95/40
Manchester City v Sheffield United – Click here to bet
Manchester City are 4th on the log and they beat Everton 3-1 win in their last start. They are undefeated at home this season but have drawn 3 of their 8 matches and those have been the last 3 home games they have played.
Sheffield United are bottom of the log and have taken just 1 point from the last 9 they have played for. Their last match was a 3-2 home defeat to Luton, a game where they started 14/10 favourites and they have yet to win on the road this season.
City edged past Sheffield United 2-1 in the reverse fixture, but I am expecting a big win from City here and I am going to bet on them to score at least 4 goals.
Suggested Bet: Manchester City over 3.5 goals at 5/4
Wolves v Everton – Click here to bet
Wolves are currently 11th on the table and they are coming off back-to-back victories away at Brentford and home to Chelsea and they are undefeated in their last 5 home games.
Everton are 17th on the log and after a run of 4 successive victories they had back-to-back defeats away at Tottenham and at home to Manchester City. They have one of the better away records in the League with 5 wins and a draw in their 9 matches.
The bookies are struggling to separate these teams and I don’t have a strong fancy and will go for a correct score pick of 1-1.
Suggested Bet: Correct Score, 1-1 at 5/1
Nottingham Forest v Manchester United – Click here to bet
Nottingham are currently 16th on the log having got a valuable 3-1 victory away at Newcastle last time out and that broke a run of 7 successive matches without a victory. Their home form has been poor though and they have lost their last 4 in a row.
Manchester United came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-2 and they currently sit 6th on the log, and they have won 4, lost 4, and drawn 1 of their 9 away matches this season, but haven’t won in their last 7 road trips.
United beat Nottingham 3-2 in the reverse fixture and I am happy to back them at 5/4 that they make it 5 home defeats of Nottingham in a row.
Suggested Bet: Manchester United win at 5/4
