We suggest bets in 7 of the UEFA Champions League group matches taking place on Wednesday.
Manchester City are the 2/1 favourites to win the Champions League going into this round of the matches and you can click here for all of the long-term markets.
REAL SOCIEDAD v BENFICA – Click here to bet
Real Sociedad currently top Group D with 7 points from a possible 9. Benfica are bottom of the table and have yet to get a point in 3 matches.
These sides met in Benfica in the last round with Real Sociedad winning 1-0. Benfica have been one of the disappointments of the group stages for me so far and I think they may be ready to throw in the towel. I am happy to take Real Sociedad to win this one.
Suggested Bet: Real Sociedad win at 10/11
REAL MADRID v BRAGA – Click here to bet
Madrid are top of Group C with 9 points from their 3 matches and they face Braga who sit 3rd on the log with 3 points from their opening 3 games.
Real Madrid beat Braga 2-1 on the road last time out, a game where they started 4/10 favourites, but Braga’s only win of the group stages came on the road against Union Berlin where they won 3-2.
Real Madrid are predictably short here at 1/4, but I get the feeling they are not over-extending in the group stages and I am going to take them to win by 2 goals exactly.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Real Madrid -2 goals, the draw at 16/5

ARSENAL v SEVILLA – Click Here to bet
Arsenal are currently top of Group B with 6 points from their 3 matches and Sevilla are 3rd on the log with 2 points from their opening 3 games.
These sides met in Matchday 3 with Arsenal winning 2-1 at Sevilla and their only home game was a 4-0 defeat of PSV.
Arsenal are the 1/3 favourites here, but I like the trend of both teams finding the back of the net that we have seen in recent Sevilla matches to continue.
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 10/11
FC SALZBURG v INTER – Click here to bet
Salzburg are currently 3rd in Group D, 4 points behind Inter who have 7 points from their opening 3 games.
Salzburg lost 2-1 away to Inter last time out and their only home game was a 2-0 defeat to Real Sociedad. Inter are undefeated after 3 matches, their only away match was a draw at Real Sociedad in Matchday 1.
Salzburg have punched above their weight in the group stages so far and their defence has held up surprisingly well. I am looking for under 2.5 goals at 11/10.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 11/10
BAYERN MUNICH v GALATASARAY – Click here to bet
Munich are currently top of Group A on 9 points with Galatasaray a distant 2nd place on 4 points.
Bayern Munich’s last 2 games have been away wins and their only home game so far was a 4-3 victory over Manchester United. There have been a total of 14 goals in Bayern Munich’s 3 matches.
Galatasaray suffered their first defeat when they lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich last time out and their last away game was a shock 3-2 victory over Manchester United. Goals have also flowed freely in Galatasaray games with a total of 13 goals in their 3 matches.
Bayern Munich should be far too strong here and I am backing them to score 4 goals or more.
Suggested Bet: Bayern Munich Total Goals over 3.5 at 29/20
PSV v LENS – Click here to bet
PSV are currently bottom of Group B with just 2 points from their opening 3 matches. Lens sit 2nd in the group, 3 points above them with 2 draws and a victory from their opening 3 games. Lens drew 1-1 at home to PSV last time out and PSV’s only home game to date was a 2-2 draw with Sevilla who Lens drew to on the road.
PSV are 15/20 favourites here, but I don’t think they are going to have it all their own way against this Lens team and I am backing the visitors to take something from the game.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Lens +0.5 goals at 11/10
FC COPENHAGEN v MANCHESTER UNITED – Click here to bet
These sides are both desperate for a victory in Group A with Manchester United on 3 points in 3rd place and FC Copenhagen on 1 point at the bottom of the table.
Copenhagen had to come through the group stages to qualify, but aside from a Matchday 1 draw at Galatasaray, they have lost both games including going down 1-0 away to Manchester United last time out. It was a much-needed win for United having lost their previous 2 games, both high-scoring affairs at home to Galatasaray and away to Bayern Munich.
It is hard to be confident in Manchester United’s form at the moment, but I am going to keep this simple and go for a straight win on the visitors.
Suggested Bet: Manchester United win at 5/6
