INDIA
India is currently the only undefeated team in the World Cup, winning all six of the games they’ve played, which puts them at the top of the table with 12 points and they are trading as the 11/10 favourites.
In their most recent game, India faced England, where they lost the toss and were sent in to bat first. Despite losing two early wickets, India managed to stabilize the innings and began building a decent total. Sharma scored a half-century, and Yadav missed it by just one run. They totalled 229 runs in fifty overs and lost nine wickets in the process.
Although their batting performance was not as strong as we have become accustomed to, India did not disappoint with their bowling. They took four wickets in the first ten overs, maintained the pressure, and thanks to a significant contribution from Mohammed Shami who took 4/22 in 7 overs, India bowled England out in the 35th over for 129 runs.

SRI LANKA
Sri Lanka have struggled in this World Cup, having won only two of the six games played so far. This places them at seventh on the table with four points and their current price of 1000/1 reflects they only have a mathematical chance of progressing beyond the group stage.
Their most recent game was against Afghanistan, where they lost the toss and were asked to bat first. They made a strong start losing their 2nd wicket at 84 in the 19th over, but they then consistently lost wickets which slowed down their run-scoring. They ended up with a total of 241 runs before being bowled out in the 50th over, with Pathum Nissanka being the top scorer with 46 runs.
Despite taking a wicket in the first over, Sri Lanka couldn’t capitalize on this and failed to make further early inroads. They managed to take only three wickets in the innings, with Dilshan Madushanka being the top wicket-taker with 2 for 48 in 9 overs. Afghanistan chased down the 241 runs in the 46th and they are 150/1 to win the World Cup.

India 1/6
Sri Lanka 9/2
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These two teams have faced each other five times this year in various competitions, and India has won all five of these games.
Suggested Bet: Rohit Sharma to top the batting 26/10
Rohit Sharma has displayed outstanding form, currently ranking as the fourth-highest run-scorer in the tournament. He scored 87 in a low scoring match against England and coming in at the top of the order we know we will get a run for our money.
Suggested Bet: India to be over 38.5 runs at the first dismissal at 17/20
I am at risk of putting “all my eggs in 1 basket here” with Sharma opening the batting but I like this opening duo to get India off to a flyer
