LaLiga Betting Preview, Monday 21 August

There are two LaLiga matches taking place on Monday night and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

Alaves v Sevilla – Click here to bet

Alaves were away to Cadiz in Week 1 of LaLiga and they were priced at 28/10 underdogs for the game.  The betting proved spot on with Cadiz scoring in the 7^th minute and then holding on for a 1-0 victory.

Sevilla were at home in their opening match against Valencia and they started as 9/10 favourites, but those who backed them were left empty handed as they were beaten 2-1 with all 3 goals coming in the second-half and Valencia getting the winner in the 88^th minute.

Sevilla were in action in the Super Cup against Manchester City on Wednesday night and lost on penalties after the game had finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Both matches between these sides were drawn last season with this fixture finishing goalless.  Sevilla are favourite for this game at 29/20 with Alaves on offer at 22/10.  Personally though I think this could be the 3^rd successive draw between the sides.

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 21/10

Granada CF v Rayo Vallecano – Click here to bet

Granada had a tough task on opening day away to Atlético Madrid and bookies priced them as 9/1 to cause an upset.  They went behind in injury time of the first-half, but did equalise in the 62^nd minute only for Atlético Madrid to draw clear with goals in the 67^th and 98^th minutes.

Rayo Vallecano started just under 2/1 to beat Almeria on the road in Week 1 and they duly delivered for those that backed them with two goals in the first-half both via penalties.

This fixture finished 2-2 last season with Rayo Vallecano winning the reverse fixture 4-0 at home.  Vallecano have now won 3 of their last 4 matches against Granada and from what I saw last week I think they have every chance of taking another 3 points from this one.

Suggested Bet:  Rayo Vallecano win at 19/10
