English Premier League Betting Preview, Saturday 20 May

There are 6 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

Manchester City are currently 4 points clear of Arsenal and with a game in hand and they only require 1 more victory to wrap up the Title race.

Tottenham v Brentford – Click here to bet

Tottenham are 7^th on the log, but with only 1 win in their last 5 matches.  Their home form has been decent though with 3 wins in 5 and they have won their last 2 on the trot.

Brentford are 9^th on the log and they have only lost 1 of their last 5 although their away form has been scratchy and they have only won 1 of their last 5 matches.

The reverse fixture finished 2-2 back in December. I think this could be a cracking game and I am betting on 4 goals or more in the match.

Fulham v Crystal Palace – Click here to bet

Fulham are currently 10^th on the log, but on a poor run which has seen them lose 3 matches in a row and 3 of their last 4 home matches have also ended in defeat.

Palace are 12^th on the log and they have only won 2 of their last 5 matches and have a 22% winning percentage on the road this season.

Fulham were too strong for Palace, winning 3-0 away in the reverse fixture, but I am struggling to separate the sides in this one and think the draw is on the cards.

Liverpool v Aston Villa – Click here to bet

Liverpool are 5^th on the log and still have a chance of grabbing 4^th place.  They have won their last 5 matches in succession including their last 4 home matches.

Aston Villa are 8^th on the table with 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw in their last 5 matches.  Their home form has been excellent, but they have only taken 1 point from a possible 9 on the road in their last 3 away matches.

Liverpool have won their last 5 in a row against Villa and both teams have found the net in 4 of those 5 games.

Suggested Bet:  Both teams to score, YES, at 7/10

Wolves v Everton – Click here to bet

Wolves are 13^th on the log with 3 losses and 2 victories in their last 5 starts.  Their home form has been strong and they have won 4 in a row in front of their own fans.

Everton have moved out of the relegation zone and currently sit 17^th on the log still very much in the relegation dogfight.  They have only won 1 of their last 5 games and last time out were beaten 3-0 at home by Manchester City.  They have averaged under a point per game on the road this season, but they did win their last away match.

Everton are desperate for the 3 points here and I am backing them to get it.

Bournemouth v Manchester United – Click here to bet

Bournemouth are 14^th on the log with 3 losses and 2 victories in their last 5 starts.  They have lost their last 2 in a row.

Manchester United currently sit 4^th on the log and they broke a 2 match losing streak with a victory last time out.  Their away record hasn’t been great of late and they have only won 1 of the last 5 and taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for on the road.

I think Bournemouth are going to make Manchester United work hard, but I do think United will get the victory and I am backing them to win by 1 goal.

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Manchester United -1, the draw at 29/10

Nottingham Forest v Arsenal – Click here to bet

Nottingham Forest are currently 16^th on the log and they probably need 1 victory to ensure another season of English Premier League action.  They have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 2 of their last 5 and have won their last 2 home games.

Arsenal are 2^nd on the log with nothing more than a mathematical chance of winning the title.  They went down 3-0 at home to Brighton last time out and on the road they have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1 of their last 5.

Arsenal must be feeling pretty flat and Nottingham Forest are playing well at home and I am going for an upset win here.
