This week, the Grove-end Football club received their new kits for the season, proudly sponsored by World Sports Betting. The club, based in the Phoenix area where WSB has recently opened a new betting shop, focuses on community development through sports. Underprivileged kids from surrounding areas are welcomed and the club has a passion for developing these kids in order to keep them away from the negative influences of the surroundings.
Club secretary, Meryl Moonsamy describes the club as a perfect place for kids and adults alike to interact in a positive way while learning social skills and getting healthy at the same time. The club has had multiple teams in divisional cup semi-finals and armed with their new gear, it is just a matter of time before they get a winner.
“This club is more than just a football club” said WSB Phoenix Manager Mark Singh. “I have visited the club and I could tell how much being a member meant to the kids and adults alike. We are very proud to be associated with the club and look forward to great things. Who knows, maybe the next Bafana captain in the making is already amongst the kids at the club?”
The Grove-end FC teams will take on the 2016 Divisional cup season in their WSB Orange and Blue and we wish them all the best in the coming matches.
