At the start of May, while the country was in the grips of a national lock down and winter reared its ugly head, World Sports Betting in association with the Kingdom Dream Centre in Johannesburg Central teamed up to ensure the most vulnerable are taken care of by serving a hot meal every day.
KDC had already been running the program for over a month when World Sports Betting came onboard as a sponsor but this was about more than financial aid. the ‘WSB Angels’ got intimately involved and every day our team was on the grounds preparing and serving over 1500 meals..
Mark Bismark, head of the KDC expressed his gratitude to the WSB team for their help in carying this huge load and called the team a “Huge Blessing”.
Ryno Du Plessis, Marketing Manager for World Sports Betting was full of praise for his team. “It was always Important for us as a brand to help where we could during this pandemic. Our community outreach projects continued in all provinces throughout and will continue as we go through the winter months and the country re-stabalizes. This project in particular was a very special one though… To see our team members rally together to assist was amazing. The WSB spirit was in full force and we had more staff volunteering than we had space for. I need to give all credit to the WSB team on this one, Well done team WSB!”.
Lerato Kgasi who lead the team on their daily excursions also praised the KDC team for their impressive dedication to their comunity and for facilitating and providing all the infrastructure for this innitiative.
