The Proteas will be looking for much needed Super League points when they take on India in the first of 3 ODI’s Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday. We take a look at the betting.
India won the 3 match T20 series 2-1 going down in the final match with the series already wrapped up. The 1st T20 was a low scoring affair but after that the bat dominated with the team batting first comfortably clearing the 200 run mark in the 2nd and 3rd T20’s.
India are clearly focusing on the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia and they are fielding very much a 2nd string team here although given the depth in Indian cricket they will likely be no pushovers.
South Africa are in desperate need of Super League points in order to qualify automatically for next years ODI World Cup hosted by India and they have very much a full strength team (bar injury) to choose from.
Neither team has played an ODI at this ground so it is difficult to know what to expect from the pitch and to add to that there has been plenty of rain around and more forecast.

Suggested Bet: South Africa win at 17/20
The Proteas have a strong team to choose from and many of the players are match ready after the T20 series. They can do the business against the hosts who are missing key players and even their coach who is heading to Australia early.
Suggested Bet: Match 6’s South Africa over 5.5 at 17/20
With the likes of Miller in form the ball could travel at a ground where India have made some high scores in T20’s.
