There are 3 DSTV Premiership fixtures taking place on Tuesday and we suggest a bet in each.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS v GOLDEN ARROWS
Sundowns remain comfortable leaders at the top of the table, 11 points clear of Royal AM who sit in 2nd place.
Sundowns bounced back to form last time out beating Swallows 4-2 on the road having lost 2-1 away to Maritzburg United prior to that. Mamelodi Sundowns home games have averaged 2.8 goals this season with a 50% split between over and under 2.5 goals. They have scored 26 times in 12 matches while conceding just 7.
Golden Arrows are 9th on the table and saw a 2 match winning run ended last time out when they went down 2-0 at home to Stellenbosch. Their last away game was a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs. They have only won twice on the road this season in 11 games and face a Sundowns side that is undefeated at home in 12 matches.
A look at Golden Arrows goal stats on the road shows an average of 2.5 goals per game with a fairly even split between over and under 2.5 goals. They have scored 14 and conceded 14 goals on their travels.
Sundowns beat Arrows 1-0 on the road earlier in the season and last season the sides played to a goalless draw.

Mamelodi Sundowns 2/7
Golden Arrows 10/1
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 9/10
I am a bit surprised to be getting this price although the stats support the fact that this is really a 50-50 call. Head-to-head though these games seem to be low scoring and the last 4 League matches have failed to reach the 3 goal mark.
BAROKA V ORLANDO PIRATES
Baroka are desperate for points and currently sit bottom of the table having lost 5 out of their last 6 matches. Last time out they lost 1-0 at home to AmaZulu although 15 of their 17 points have come at home this season. Baroka’s home games have been incredibly low scoring averaging 1.2 goals each with all 12 delivering you a profit had you backed under 2.5 goals.
Orlando Pirates are up to 5th on the table after back-to-back victories away at Sekhukhune and at home to SuperSport United. They have only lost twice in 11 matches away from home and looking at their goal stats Pirates away games have averaged 2 goals each with 7 of the 11 matches delivering you profits had you backed under 2.5 goals.
These sides played to a goalless draw at Orlando Pirates earlier this season and last season Pirates won this fixture 2-1.

Suggested Bet: Pirates to win at PRICE TO FOLLOW
Pirates should be too strong for a Baroka side that looks, for my money, as though they are going to be relegated.
MARITZBURG UNITED v SWALLOWS
Maritzburg United are 12th on the log and they face 15th place Swallows who are currently in the relegation playoff spot.
Maritzburg were beaten 1-0 at home by Cape Town City last time out and they have only won 2 of their last 10 matches. They have only won 4 times in 12 attempts at home and looking at their home matches from a goals perspective, we find that Maritzburg home games only average 1.6 goals each with just 3 of the 12 matches reaching the 3 goal mark. The recent trend in their home games has been for goals though, all 3 of those high scoring games have occurred in their last 4 matches at home.
Swallows have only won 3 out of 23 matches this season and they have been suffering far more defeats than they did last season when they were drawing regularly. They lost back-to-back games 4-2 at home to Sundowns and 1-0 on the road to Royal AM. Swallows have won 2 out of 11 matches away from home this season and they have played some seriously low scoring matches with their away games averaging just 1.2 goals each with Swallows only scoring 4 and conceding 9 in their 11 games.

Maritzburg United 23/20
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 23/10
If I was getting 9/10 the pair on this pick I would be going unders based on the stats between these sides home and away. The thing is though there has been enough action in Maritzburg United’s recent matches to make me think that 23/10 is a good price that we get some goals.
